Years ago and many cold nights a days the little Snowrat stood dreaming of the time it was created and wishing it's melting body was abit bigger then it turned out to be, and wishing it actualy came with a tail!
Now in the year 2009 on a cold winters night a Blizzard came forth and with it over 15 Inches of Snowy white snowlicious goodness. The Snowrats creator usualy worked on this day, but with luck the job was called off due to safty conditions on the roads and it spent two days planing a bigger and better body for it's fluffy iced friend.
On saterday the plan whent into action! Two long hours, 4 spuare feet and one level ground later, it was reborn in it's gigantic glory! Ratzilla was brought into a new light with 2 ft long back legs, 1 1/2 foot front legs, 14.6 inch head, 3 ft long body with a 2 1/2ft round belly and a slender strong 6 1/2ft tail to end it all! Now captured on film as He Grazes happily on a 6 inch Appletree branch and looking lovely with toes, fur and ear details etched into it's snowy form. Ratzilla couldint be happier and is proud to live in the arival of indiana's Cold treditional winter instead of at the very end. In these Indiana winters, the snow never melts... And with it nither does it's creatures.
As such, Ratzilla is going to be alive for many days awaiting possable cool dates as there are many days off and many more Snowy nights ahead!
I only had a couple of inches here, so I just made a little one-foot snowman called Bob :0 but next time, if there's any more snow, I'll make something more original
Aww now thats just cute Sapphyre. It was 50's here too, but we tend to get ice before warmed, so he's protected in ice thats over a inch thick XD. It'll take a 70% to warm him up ^^. Thanks for your comments guys, it was really fun making him and in the end, it makes a cold depressing day a very rejuvinated one ^^
Wow! It's actually rather warm over here- it reached the 50's today. It's so cute... Makes me like rats a little better, just like most of your artwork.
I remember doing a snow lion when I was a kid, turned out to be a lioness though. I used an unused garbage bin
I love it sooo much! it came out great!!!!
....snow hasn't been friendly for me this year D:
